Vanakkam! My name is Sampu Karuppusamy. I was born and grew up in the beautiful city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. After finishing my studies, I moved to Chennai to begin my career as a Software Engineer.

Before moving to the Atlanta area in 2023, I lived in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I started volunteering as a Grade 1 Tamil teacher at Arasi Nagar Tamil School. When I relocated here—where I now live with my wife and daughter—I wanted to stay connected to my roots and give back, which led me to join the Marietta Tamil School family to serve on the Operations and Safety team.

I have always deeply loved reading Tamil poems and feel an immense sense of pride in our long, rich history. I am always eager to learn more about our culture and heritage. Nowadays, what I look forward to most each weekend is seeing the rest of our dedicated volunteers and enjoying those wonderful, little interactions with the kids and parents. I am proud to support the school behind the scenes to ensure a safe and smooth environment for everyone to learn and thrive!
