Vanakkam! My name is Rekha Balaji, and I currently live in the United States. I was born and raised in Salem, Tamil Nadu. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and lived in Chennai after my marriage until moving to the United States in 2016.

Before relocating to the U.S., I spent two years providing after-school academic support to elementary school children in Chennai, helping students up to the fifth grade. That experience strengthened my passion for teaching and working with children.

I currently serve as a **teacher** at Marietta Tamil School. I especially enjoy working with young children and helping them develop a love for the Tamil language while connecting with our rich culture and traditions. Watching them grow in confidence and enthusiasm for learning is one of the most rewarding parts of my volunteering journey. I strive to create a fun, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child feels encouraged to learn and thrive.

It is an honor to be part of the Marietta Tamil School family, and I look forward to continuing this wonderful journey of teaching, learning, and serving our community.
