Sankari Subramaniam
GRADE 1B

Vanakkam! My name is Sankari Subramaniam, and I am originally from Sathyamangalam in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Government College of Technology (GCT), Coimbatore, and have been living in the United States for the past 21 years.

I have been volunteering as a teacher at Marietta Tamil School for **more than 11 years**, and it has been an incredibly rewarding journey. My passion for teaching began during my school days in India, when I enjoyed teaching Tamil to the adults who worked on our family farm. That experience inspired my lifelong love for teaching and sharing the beauty of the Tamil language.

I strongly believe that a solid foundation is the key to mastering any language. By making the fundamentals engaging and enjoyable, I hope to help my students develop confidence and a lifelong appreciation for Tamil.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing volleyball and cheering on young athletes during their games. I also value the opportunity to stay active and spend time with children through sports.

Teaching at Marietta Tamil School has been a truly enriching experience. While I enjoy guiding my students on their Tamil learning journey, they inspire me just as much with their curiosity, enthusiasm, and unique perspectives. It is a privilege to be part of the Marietta Tamil School family, and I look forward to many more years of teaching, learning, and serving our community.
