Balakrishnan Ramasubbu
Principal

My name is Balakrishnan (Bala), and I am originally from Kovilpatti, a town in the Tuticorin district of Tamil Nadu, India. For the past 23 years, I have been living in the United States with my wonderful family.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. Volunteering has always been a passion of mine, and I have had the privilege of serving in various roles across several non-profit organizations over the years.

My leadership journey began during my school and college days, where I served as a student leader and class representative, developing strong organizational and administrative skills. As a volunteer in my hometown, I had the opportunity to tutor underprivileged children in a variety of subjects, an experience that reinforced my commitment to education and community service.

After moving to the United States, I taught the Tamil language to students for a year in 2006. Since 2014, I have been actively volunteering with Marietta Tamil School. Over the years, I have served in several leadership roles, including Attendance Officer, Book Officer, Assistant Principal, and since 2020, Principal.

I firmly believe that, together with a dedicated team of like-minded volunteers, we can continue to provide a nurturing environment where students not only learn the Tamil language but also develop a deep appreciation for our rich traditions, culture, and heritage.
