Dr. Krubha Athirathinam

I am Dr. Krubha Athirathinam, a native of Thiruvarangam, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India, with a PhD in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. I volunteer as a teacher at Marietta Tamil School, driven by my passion to pass Tamil language and culture to the next generation. I’m committed to taking Tamil and Tamil culture to next-generation children growing up outside India and I aim to make learning joyful, relevant, and rooted in identity. I’m also a Carnatic vocalist with recitals in India, UK, and USA. I’m also a participant in many Tamil reality singing shows (like Vijay TV ‘Super Singer’, Kalaignar TV ‘Paadava Duet Paadalai’). I strongly believe in using music as a bridge for students to experience Tamil heritage.

Notable Achievements & Contributions:
1. Performed “Thevaaram” at age 6, honored with the “Thevaara Isai Chelvi” award from the Tamil Isai Sangam of Madurai Raja Muthiah Mandram.
2. Trained Marietta Tamil School(MTS) students for Tamil cultural singing program, helping them perform confidently on stage and appreciate Tamil music.
